| | Image: Getty Images/Reuters | | Hush-money trial's star witness testifies against Trump | | Sitting back in his chair with his eyes closed, Donald Trump could do nothing but listen as his former lawyer and long-time fixer Michael Cohen testified against him last night. The star witness in the hush-money fraud trial against the ex-US president, Mr Cohen repeatedly linked his former boss to the secretive $130,000 payment to porn star Stormy Daniels. He said he conspired with his former boss to bury stories that could have harmed Mr Trump's 2016 presidential election campaign. While Mr Trump denies the charges against him, one senior attorney tells us that Mr Cohen's testimony so far is boosting the prosecution case. There's still much more to come though. When Mr Cohen returns to the stand today, can Mr Trump's legal team find holes in his account? | | | | | | | | | | | | |

He'll deliver what officials say will be a "strong message of reassurance" at a "difficult moment". US-funded weapons that form part of a $61bn (£49bn) aid package for Ukraine are now arriving at the front line. Washington and Kyiv hope they can be used to fend off Moscow's troops in Kharkiv. | | | | | | Assisted dying could be a step closer on Isle of Man | | The Isle of Man could take a step closer to becoming the first part of the British Isles to legalise assisted dying when its parliament votes on the details of a new bill today. The proposed law would give some terminally ill people the right to die but it has been controversial. Politicians will vote on whether those eligible should be allowed to ask a doctor to give them a lethal injection or if they must administer the drugs themselves. Our medical editor Fergus Walsh has more details. | | Bravery medal for woman who fought crocodile off twin sister | | When a crocodile attacked her twin sister Melissa as they swam in a Mexican lagoon, Georgia Laurie punched it in the face to save her. | Before you go | | It was supposed to link Dubliners and New Yorkers through smiles and waves in real time but a 24/7 live video portal between the cities is causing controversy as well as connection. At the Dublin end, one man mooned across the Atlantic and a woman danced provocatively against the on-street webcam. Not quite the wholesome fun that was expected.
