This week in CoinGeek Conversations, nChain Senior Researcher Jack Davies joins Charles Miller to talk about how the mainstream adoption of complex, blockchain-based technologies like Web3 and the Metaverse will make the internet easier for ordinary people.

Jack says that the BSV blockchain is in the right place and can power a killer application that enables a new internet that's much more accessible to everyone.

He also discusses the Metanet, a project he's been developing from a concept by Dr. Craig S. Wright, nChain's Chief Scientist.

Metanet is a new internet secured by the BSV blockchain that lets users remain in control of the information they post and provide — very much a secure and directly monetized alternative to the internet.

With BSV's capacity to conduct peer-to-peer transactions, Jack thinks that the internet of value — a network where assets and money can be transferred over the internet between peers without the need for trusted intermediaries — is fast approaching.

This together with BSV's scalability will allow for the easy application of micropayments, which he believes will help people monetize content on the internet.

"At the end of the day, the nuts and bolts of the problem will come down to how do you get this in the hands of everyday people and users, how do you get them to see the value that we're talking about," he says.
